Here is your solution.

Switch on your Tablet automatically by just opening your case. Open your case, the light sensor in your device detects it and this Application turns on your Screen.
Not enough, you can go past the lockscreen, if you want to.

You have enough of exhausting Website browsing, or whatever you do -> close your case and your device will go to sleep, too. Even if you are in a very dark room and you want to browse some more, the device will not turn off, because its is checking your presence with the acceleration sensor.

You will never see this application, except you want it, cause it runs in background and do its work.

This demo has a predefined amount of on/off switches.
This app will light up your screen for 50 times.
